As a receptionist at Borlänge Hospital, you are our face to the public - the first person patients, relatives, and visitors meet when they come to us. Your reception sets the tone for the entire visit and contributes to a sense of security in an environment that can feel both new and uncertain for many.

We are looking for someone who wants to work as a temporary substitute on an ongoing basis from spring as needed and who can also work a continuous summer substitute during daytime hours, weekdays during weeks 26-29. By starting to work extra in the spring, you will have the opportunity to be introduced to the role well in advance of the summer. For the right person, there is also the possibility to continue as a temporary substitute after the summer assignment is completed.

Summer Substitute / Temporary Substitute for the Reception - Borlänge Hospital Job Responsibilities

In the role of receptionist, you will:

• Welcome patients and visitors at the reception
• Handle bookings, registrations, cash handling, and payments in the journal system
• Provide information and guidance to patients and relatives
• Answer phone calls and provide information
• Perform administrative tasks related to the reception's operations

We are looking for someone who has:

• Completed upper secondary education
• Good computer skills and experience working with multiple IT systems
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Experience working in a reception, cash register, or customer service that the employer deems relevant

It is advantageous if you:

• Have experience working with booking or registration systems
• Have experience with administrative tasks in service or public operations
• Have experience in cash handling or payment administration

You enjoy meeting people and creating a welcoming first impression. Through a warm and professional approach, you contribute to the security of patients and relatives - even when the pace is high.

You are socially skilled, adapt your approach to the situation, and work in a structured manner with good prioritization skills. You are stable and secure in yourself and handle challenges with calmness and professionalism.

You collaborate well with others but also work independently and take responsibility for your tasks. Your lack of pretension and solution-focused mindset make you a positive force both in the team and in your interactions with our visitors.
